Boo Williams helped shape the modern landscape of grassroots basketball. What began as a local AAU program in Hampton Roads grew into one of the most respected pipelines in the country, helping thousands of young athletes earn college opportunities and reach the highest levels of the game.
His vision didn’t stop with teams.
In 2008, Boo helped establish the Boo Williams Sportsplex, a premier facility that now hosts some of the most important youth basketball events in America.
Long before the industry caught up, Boo also championed opportunities for girls in the game, helping elevate women’s grassroots basketball through events like the Nike EYBL Girls Invitational. Today, his influence stretches far beyond Virginia. From NBA players and Olympians to coaches, executives, and community leaders, Boo’s impact continues to echo across the basketball world.
